Information We Collect

TeachFront collects only the necessary data required for authentication, authorization, and the delivery of our services. When used as a standalone LMS, TeachFront collects the following data:

• User Information: Name, email address, pronouns, titles, and role (e.g., student, instructor, TA).
• Course Information: name, term, expiration date
• Assignment and Grading Data: Submission status, scores, and instructor feedback.

Automatically Collected Data via LTI 1.3

When TeachFront is used as an LTI tool with a compatible LMS, in addition to the data previously mentioned, we also track the following information via the LTI launch request:

• User Information: LMS user ID, and LMS role (e.g., student, instructor, TA).
• Course Information: LMS Course ID, LMS course name, and LTI client ID.
• Institution Information: School or organization name associated with the LMS instance.

How We Use Your Information

We use the collected data strictly to:

• Facilitate grading, submissions, and instructor feedback.
• Improve our tool's functionality and user experience.
• Communicate with other LMS instances via the LTI 1.3 protocol.

We do not use your data for marketing, advertising, or third-party sales. We ensure compliance with institutional policies and applicable laws.
